Proud to share our Kellogg brands in fun new ways

I’ve yet to meet anyone in person and I already know Kellogg is the right place for me.

Starting a new job during a pandemic is certainly a different experience. But when the opportunity to lead Kellogg Company’s global licensing team came up, I knew it was the right move for me. I was especially pleased to learn that licensing was part of the company’s Global Growth team, which told me it was a valued discipline. My husband agreed and we jumped right in. In a short time, we moved from Pennsylvania to Michigan, bought a house and I started my new job.

Now just a few months in, every day is exciting. The licensing team works with third parties to take our beloved brands into new spaces. For example, Good Humor® Pop-Tarts® Frozen Dessert Bars were a big hit last summer and Froot Loops® candy canes were popular over the holidays. We also were thrilled to see vintage Kellogg’s® socks from The Jockey Company honored with a 2020 Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Award. Fans of our brands also can help The Global FoodBanking Network® feed people in need when they buy our fun Frosted Flakes® and Pringles® face masks.

As someone who has spent the majority of my career in licensing – first with Whirlpool® and then with Church & Dwight™ – I see endless opportunities for partnerships that fit our brands’ personalities. Tony the Tiger™ kids’ bedding? Maybe. Froot Loops® flavored lip balm? Why not? We have a number of fun, creative partnerships in the works.

One project in particular that I’ve been involved with is the new Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Kellogg’s® Krave® and Froot Loops® drinks.

In joining Kellogg, I wasn’t just looking to take my career to the next level. I also was looking for a company whose values mirrored my own, one that I was proud to work for. Kellogg certainly delivered! People have been so helpful welcoming me and my husband, Clark, to the company and the community. I’m especially proud to work for a company that has been at the forefront of championing diversity and inclusion for more than 20 years. At Kellogg, we truly believe that our differences make us stronger and must be embraced. This means I can bring my full, authentic self to work.

Now that we’ve settled into our new home and I’m working on several innovative ways to bring the joy of our popular brands to people worldwide, I look forward to meeting my colleagues in person one day soon.
